Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Visit the cultural sites of Bujumbura city
After early morning breakfast, you will enjoy a visit to the snake and culture museum which displays the ancient traditions and the artifact of Burundi’s history, the Islam cultural center and the craft shop around the city. After this adventurous cultural tour you will take lunch and then transfer to Lake Tanganyika the most famous tourist destinations in the city. Here you will enjoy seeing local people fishing and you will also participate in beach games like; volley ball, take a boat ride on the lake, swim, Sun bathe and many more. In the evening you will enjoy the Gasimbo dance performance as you will see these amazing dancers spinning as if they do have bones in the bodies. You will have dinner and overnight at club du lac Tanganyika, Hotel residence ubuntu, le clos de limbas.
Day 2: Drive to Gitega for another cultural tour
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to Gitega and you will have en-route visit at the Agasumoka Mwaro which Burundians consider as a historic place that served and still serves as the centre of worship interest for the followers of an ancient traditional belief called the Imana. After the visit you will continue to the national museum which displays the artifacts of Burundi customs and culture. After lunch you will transfer to Gashora Drum Sanctuary where you will see these wonderful historical drums and accompanied with the performance. Then you will visit the Nyakazu Tourist Destination (The German Gorge) and this was the fortification of Germans during the World War One using it as a base to control the eastern part of the nation, from there you will enjoy its beautiful scenery. Then you will return to Bujumbura city where the tour ends.
