The 3 Day Safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park feature a lot of interesting activities including the game drive throughout the park, boat cruise in Kazinga Channel, and tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector.
This is the shortest safari you can do in this park when you coming from Kampala because it’s found in about 390kms by road south west of Kampala.
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to QENP
As usual, on your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will find the tour guide and the representative from African Jungle Adventures Ltd already waiting for you. The guide will be at the arrivals holding a placard displaying your names in capital letters. Then from there they will help you carry your luggage and move to meet your safari vehicle in the airport parking.
In the car, you will pay your remaining balance to the company representative and he/she will give you a receipt. Then after the tour guide will brief you about the trip, tell you the details of the first day give you the itinerary and then you will be set to start the safari. There the company representative will wave you good bye and then you embark on your 6hours drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park with an en-route lunch at the equator. You will reach at the park late in the evening for resting as you wait for dinner and overnight at your already booked lodge.
Day 2: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park
On this day you will have a heavy breakfast at the lodge and then you will find your tour guide already waiting for you to go for a morning game drive throughout the park where you will enjoy watching different animals in the park like buffalos, giraffe, zebras, lions and others. This will be day up to midday and later you will return to the lodge for lunch and some rest as you wait to enjoy evening boat cruise on Kazinga Channel which is over 30kms natural channel connecting Lake Edward to Lake George. This channel attracts a lot of birds and animals which come to drink water from the channel and still it’s where you can find the largest concentration of hippos in the whole world. Among the animals you will see on the game drive include; buffalos, elephants, warthogs, hippos, crocodiles and others. After, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala
Early in the morning you will have breakfast at the lodge and pack your luggage and get ready to leave this amazing place, you will hit the road and drive back to Kampala through the Ishasha Sector in the southern part of the park. Here you may get a chance spot the tree climbing lions which are always hanging on branches of huge fig trees whereas the Kob graze in the plains.
